Why are there many transgendered people in Thailand?

 Representatives of ‘third gender’ are boys who behave, dress and live like girls. First they make face surgery, then breasts and only after that substitute sex organs. Such surgery costs about 10 thousand dollars.

Unfortunately, people who decide to change gender do not live very long, only about ten years. All their lives they have to take hormones that are harmful for health and often they drink alcohol and take drugs.

According to sad statistics, 25% of young boys become ladyboys. There are many ideas and suggestions of a reason that make boys do this but it is quite difficult to detect the one. The fact is that change of gender is great opportunity to earn good money. Participant of transvestite show have the highest income in Thailand.

Sadly but it is not the worst, in last 10 years men prostitution became very popular. The thing is that Thai girls are very short and not quite pretty, meanwhile converted boy meets the western idea of nice sexy appearance. That is why in poor families, boys are prepared for future from childhood.

  

In some areas, local people choose a boy who looks feminine enough. They gather money for surgery and send him to work off.  In a year locals who invested in him can buy a satellite receiver and a motorbike.

Indian wedding is a complicated process that includes many ceremonies, each has its meaning and history. The common feature that everything shines and blings with vibrant colors and enormous luxury. Even if family is not rich wedding is too important in their culture so they often spend more than they can afford.

 

Brides dress istraditionaly red but nowadays it variesfrom western white to any other color. The main feature is sophisticated embroidery and lots of jewelery.

Wedding may last up to three-four days. Indian people believe that family is the biggest happiness a person can ever have If person, especially woman, loses family, he or loses God's favour.
