African wedding

May be it is rude and irrespective to use common ‘African’ because there are many nations and cultures within this huge black continent. Anyway, since I am not going to look at each country from this point of view I will highlight few common features that are typical for most traditional African weddings.

Wedding as any celebration is distinguished by vibrant colors and not luxury decorations, they are made of simple, natural materials as wood, bones or clothes. Dresses are simple and comfortable to wear; bride is not going to be imprisoned inside of her dress. Bride and groom often have dresses that are similar, often they are made of the same cloth or at least have common elements.

Ceremony peculiarities depend on religious believes and cultural heritage of social strata they belong to.

And this, the wildest wedding is the 5th wedding of South African President. What a patrion, I am admired how passionatly he folows national traditions ))))
